Executive Team

Norman Peterson
Dip Proj Man (RICS), MBA
CEO

Norman is a highly experienced and accomplished senior executive with direct experience across a number of sectors including telecoms, infrastructure and property.

Norman co-founded Carlton & Co in 2001 to support a range of property led regeneration projects that deliver tangible social, economic and environmental benefits.

Prior to founding Carlton & Co Norman held senior positions at Jarvis Rail and Bell Canada. As Commercial Director/ Operations Director at Jarvis he was a member of the Management Board reporting directly to the Chief Executive with P&L responsibility for a £55M division. At Bell Canada Norman's roles included Construction Director and Director of Network Strategy. Again reporting directly to the Chief Executive he was responsible for managing a £150M/year investment programme for Bell's UK operations.

He holds the RICS Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management from The College of Estate Management, Reading University, an MBA from Bradford University and has recently completed a The Said Business School Private Equity Programme at Oxford University.


Craig Peterson
MBA
Managing Director

Craig co-founded Carlton & Co in 2001 and has been instrumental in the in the development of the business from start-up and through a period of controlled growth which has seen Carlton build and develop over £30M of quality homes and commercial space in the North of England.

Craig brings an entrepreneurial approach to the business and following a full strategic review he has ensured that Carlton & Co is ideally placed to develop new opportunities in a dynamic marketplace.

Craig's experience across a number of sectors including housing and regeneration includes operations, finance, sales and marketing, business planning and strategy.

Prior to founding Carlton & Co Craig held senior positions with Wimpey Homes & Bryant Homes. As Regional Production Director at Bryant Homes he was responsible for a £60M annual development programme delivering around 450 new homes.

Craig holds an MBA (Enterprise) and plans to complement existing qualifications with further postgraduate studies that provide specialist expertise in finance, strategy and corporate valuation.


Andrew Park
Brand Marketing Director

Andrew is an award-winning marketing & communications strategist with over 12 years experience in the thick of digital media innovation.

His heritage lies firmly in TV entertainment brands, holding senior positions at Sky, Endemol and gaming channel PlayJam before successfully transferring his skills to the tangential world of professional services heading up digital brand strategy for Addleshaw Goddard LLP.

A true creative at heart, Andrew brings a unique blend of innovation and commercial focus to every project, not only crafting great digital strategies, but crucially...delivering them.

Andrew is leading Carlton & Co's innovative approach to marketing, concentrating on developing digital campaign based models for the group and our wider client base.


Dave Chalmers

Dave Chalmers
Company Accountant

Dave has a wealth of corporate financial and management accounting experience gained chiefly with a multinational chemical company. After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accountancy from Leeds University, Dave served Articles in London with PKF, a top ten Chartered Accountancy firm.

He then worked for over 20years at BASF on Teesside in a number supervisory roles, including the financial control and reporting of £250m of fixed assets and £120m pa of raw material and engineering purchases.

After leaving BASF Dave joined a plastic product manufacturer as Financial Controller and more recently worked as Practice Accountant with a Private Accountancy Partnership.

Dave is responsible for ensuring the necessary financial controls are in place to meet the requirements of Carlton & Co's planned expansion.


Samantha Hemmingway

Samantha Hemmingway

Sam joined us, as an Administrative Assistant, in 2011 and has rapidly progressed and proved herself to be an invaluable and integral member of the team. She has recently been promoted to the position of Group Office Manager - a multifaceted and diverse role which is it at the heart of the organisation. Her areas of responsibility include the management of the financial inputs for The Carlton & Co Group as a whole; the creation, management and reporting of a number of digital-based marketing activities; monitoring and managing the sales opportunity processes for the various company subdivisions; management of diaries, events and appointments for the rest of the team; coordination of 'one off' and repeat projects; and supports the day-to-day needs of the Directors. She has ultimate responsibility for the management of HUB Workspace which includes promotion, managing sales opportunities, conducting viewings, creating tailor-made proposals, new lease negotiations and completions as well as on-going tenant communications and lease renewals.
